(Hong Kong, 29 November 2009) – Automated Systems Holdings Limited (“ASL” or “the Group”) (HKEx stock code: 771), a leading IT services provider in Hong Kong, is pleased to announce its wholly-owned subsidiary, CSA Automated (Macau) Ltd. (“ASL Macau”), has implemented the Baccarat Score Board System (“BSB”) and the Playing Card Management System (“PCMS”) for City of Dreams, an integrated entertainment resort that is the newest “must experience” destination in Macau and developed by Melco Crown Entertainment Limited, an entertainment company listed on the NASDAQ Global Select Market (NASDAQ: MPEL) (“Melco Crown Entertainment”).

Melco Crown Entertainment is an owner and developer of casino gaming and entertainment facilities focused on Asia with a portfolio of businesses in Macau that includes Altira Macau, Mocha Clubs and the flagship City of Dreams. Both City of Dreams and Altira Macau use ASL’s Gaming Display Solution exclusively on 605 of their 700 gaming tables of which, the BSB and PCMS offered to City of Dreams were customized by ASL Macau according to specific requirements and needs.

The BSB can display hands of baccarat games results, providing a visual guide of the trends or ways of current shoes. The system can give the players and onlookers a complete history of past games and the scoreboard (bank, player or tie), as well as the consecutive games won and the counts of wins and pairs of the current shoe in play. The BSB system also provides the ability to print the game results if required. The information provided by the BSB system is favored by the “trend-driven” Asian baccarat players and ASL Macau turned this Chinese-oriented paper scoreboard into a highly visible display. ASL Macau also worked closely with City of Dreams to make installation and regular updates of advertising animation on the Baccarat Score Board units easy. This feature provides further value to the casino facilitating cross promotional activity whether it be for gaming related competitions or F&B offers.

As for the PCMS, it can support City of Dreams in daily operations and management of playing cards from the overall process to card flow and movement, tracing the playing cards down to each deck throughout its life cycle to prevent tampering. Due to the huge amount of card movement that takes place daily at City of Dreams, a reliable system is required to track card usage, card volumes and destruction, and provide live statistics and status of card usage. The system capable of automated management of card inventories, deliveries and replenishment has allowed City of Dreams to achieve approximately 50% productivity gain. It also eases distribution of cards to pits via a batching method which resulted in a 70% cut of the loading time translating into notable savings on administrative expenses. City of Dreams can also monitor live the pit levels of used cards from the card room and be alerted by the system when card supply is running low at a particular area. Besides, the system can also enable an automatic reporting on usage by areas and card types etc, greatly eliminating the need on manual data entry.

Mr. Michael French, Senior Vice President of Operations of City of Dreams, said, “City of Dreams is home to innovations and to offer dynamic and diverse gaming experience. We are glad to have ASL Macau as our IT Services Provider in implementing the two popular and market-proven systems. They tailored the systems for us to meet our specific requirements and thoroughly tested them to make sure they can deliver the best entertainment experiences to our patrons.”

Mr. Lai Yam Ting, Managing Director of ASL, said, “We are happy to be working with a client like City of Dreams with foresight and values innovative technologies that can help it deliver the best customer experiences. We take great encouragement in our client doing so well with the help of our products and services and look forward to more fruitful collaborations with City of Dreams.”

This year is the 15th anniversary of ASL Macau. It started with only three staff members in 1994 and now has a talent pool of more than 30, including a team of applications development professionals armed with advanced technologies and the capability to provide top-notch services. ASL Macau has been providing IT solutions and services to customers from different industries including gaming in the city. It provides the most popular gaming solutions - BSB, PCMS and other gaming solutions - Dice Game and Card Game Display System, as well as IT infrastructure and related services to casinos, and boasts, to date, a 80% share of the BSB system market in Macau, supporting more than 2,600 gaming tables. With proven track records, ASL Macau is confident to obtain more casinos to opt for ASL Macau’s gaming solutions.

“With excellent service capabilities and expertise in refining offerings, we expect to attract and receive more orders in the year ahead. We will continue to focus on providing systems integration services and customized solutions to gaming operators as well as offering IT infrastructure and comprehensive solutions including backup, recovery, virtualization and networking to Macau customers in both private and public sectors. Looking forward, the Group will strive to take our business to new heights by drawing on our capabilities and resources in Hong Kong to achieve greater economies of scale for Macau office and, in turn, provide excellent value to all clients,” Mr. Lai concluded.
