    ASL Infrastructure and Managed Services Division (IMS)

    In August 1999, IMS received the accreditation of the ISO 9001 certification from the Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency (HKQAA), proving that its quality of service is in line with the best international standards. The scope of certification for IMS' provision of integrated information technology services covers:
     

  • IT infrastructure and product support for hardware, software and network

  • Customer Services Response Centre (CSRC) operation

  • System integration and consulting services

  • Data centre operations

  • Technical training and outsourcing of IT personnel

    ASL Enterprise Business Solution Division (EBS)

    EBS was also accredited with ISO 9001 certification in February 2000 and complied with the additional requirements of ISO 9000-3:1997 certification scheme. This division is among the very few IT companies in Hong Kong who has been certified by HKQAA according to the standard of ISO 9000-3:1997, the guideline on software development. The certification proves that the division's quality of work on software development projects is recognized to meet the international standard.

    The scope of ISO 9001 certification for EBS covers the provision of enterprise business solutions in information technology project management, software development, application maintenance and support services.

    CMMI® for Development - Maturity Level 3

    In September 2005, EBS attained Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) Maturity Level 3 Rating for its systems and software engineering process in the appraisal of Standard CMMI Appraisal Method for Process Improvement (SCAMPI). In December 2008, EBS division successfully completed the reassessment on CMMI by satisfying all the Process Areas and achieved Maturity Level 3 in the CMMI® for Development Version 1.2 (an updated version announced in 2006). CMMI® for Development consists of best practices that address development and maintenance activities applied to products and services. Recognized as the industry best process improvement model, the CMMI framework aligns management and engineering activities to business objectives, helping organizations to achieve increased product and service quality as well as improved productivity and ROI.

    The achievement of this prestigious rating has proved EBS continued effort to pursue higher service quality and deliver world-class IT solutions and services to customers using proven process. With an organizational institutionalized process established following the CMMI disciplines, EBS can ensure customers that consistent quality standard is achieved across different software development projects. Customers can fully rely on us to develop and operate systems with predictable and improved cost, schedule and quality.

    CMMI is a defined best practice model for developing and improving organization’s standard processes. CMMI is defined by the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) at Carnegie Mellon University, USA and jointly developed by organizations from industry, government and SEI which develops and advocated practices improve all aspects of IT system and software engineering. The CMMI project work is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Defense.
